A former Commissioner for Native Authorities and Chieftaincy Affairs in Zamfara, Bello Dankande, has emerged the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Bakura constituency by-election.
The Unbiased Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) has mounted October 31 for the ballot.
The seat was declared vacant after the dying of Tukur Jekada.
Saidu Danbala and Lawal Birnintudu withdrew from the competition.
APC Major Election Committee, Umar Lawan, introduced the end result on Thursday in Gusau.
“4 candidates indicated their curiosity to contest within the primaries however one candidate had been disqualified by the screening committee at Nationwide Headquarters”, he stated.
