Zainab Aliyu, the younger Nigerian girl arrested by the Saudis final 12 months, for arduous medicine, has moved one other notch in her life, finishing the obligatory Nationwide Youth Service Corps scheme.
A beaming Zainab was showcased Thursday by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman and CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Fee (NIDCOM).
“Keep in mind Zainab Aliyu, wrongly jailed in Saudi for carrying medicine she had no data of, and rescued with the intervention of @MBuhari? She simply accomplished her NYSC. We want Zainab the perfect as she strikes on to nice success in life,” Abike Dabiri wrote.
Zainab attended Maitama Sule College, Kano.
She had gone together with her mum and sister to Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj in December 2018, when she was arrested for carrying tramadol, a prohibited drug within the Islamic Kingdom.
The then 22 year-old spent the subsequent 124 days in jail. She was freed in April 2019, following the intervention of the Buhari authorities.
