The All Progressives Congress (APC) has given a touch on why its governors visited former President Goodluck Jonathan.
APC stated being a platform for progressives, it was taking steps “to consolidate on its nationwide enchantment and acceptance”.
Yekini Nabena, Deputy Nationwide Publicity Secretary, disclosed this in a press release on Sunday whereas mocking the Folks’s Democratic Occasion (PDP).
Earlier, the PDP had famous that leaders of its rival met Jonathan as a result of they realised and have admitted he did properly in workplace.
Taunting the opposition as “rattled and disoriented”, Nabena stated the state executives’ journey to the previous Bayelsa State Governor was not a giant deal.
“At a time when the PDP and its management is grappling with a disaster of confidence, one would anticipate the failed opposition to concentrate on selecting itself up”, he stated.
Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Conference Planning Committee (CECPC) and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni led the delegation to Jonathan.
On his entourage have been Governors Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa), David Umahi (Ebonyi), amongst others.
The Ebonyi helmsman dumped the PDP for the APC final week.
