‘We’ll demolish constructions obstructing waterways’

Ogun State Authorities mentioned on Sunday that it could pull down homes and constructions obstructing waterways, inflicting flood.

Surroundings Commissioner Abiodun Abudu-Balogun, who spoke whereas inspecting  areas affected by flood in Abeokuta, urged residents dwelling alongside river programs to maneuver to safer areas or be ejected.

Flood inclined areas largely hit in Abeokuta  embody Kuto, Isale-Igbein, Lanfewa, Amolaso, Ijeun-Titun, In the past-Ijesa, Abiola Method, Isale Abetu, Sokori, Igbore, Oke-Mosan, Isale Ake,  Adigbe and Isabo.

Abudu-Balogun blamed the flooding on human actions comparable to indiscriminate dumping of refuse on waterways.

The commissioner was accompanied by his counterpart within the Ministry of Bodily Planning and City Improvement, Tunji Odunlami.
