A journey agent, Alao Ganiyu, is in bother for failing to ship on a job after he was totally paid.
He appeared earlier than a Chief Magistrates’ Court docket in Kaduna for allegedly swindling a traveller of N1.7million.
The police charged Ganiyu, 35, with prison breach of belief, dishonest and forgery.
NAN stories that the defendant pleaded not responsible to all counts.
The prosecutor, Sunday Baba, mentioned the complainant, Lawal Salami, petitioned the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Felony and Investigation Division on October 25.
The police inspector instructed the courtroom that in 2019, Ganiyu promised to safe a visa to the Bahamas for Salami however transformed N1.7million he collected to private use.
Baba mentioned the defendant then gave solid visa and ticket to the complainant. Salami was turned again on the airport.
The Justice of the Peace, Aisha Danja, admitted Ganiyu to bail within the sum of N500,000, with two sureties in like sum.
The sureties should be resident throughout the jurisdiction of the courtroom with mounted residential addresses.
The case was adjourned till November 25.
