Traditional rulers begin mass campaign against open defecation in Jigawa

Ringim Emirates council has directed all its village heads to embark on a mass sensitization marketing campaign towards open defecation within the space.

Emir of Ringim, Dr. Sayyadi Abubakar Mahmud gave the directives throughout an advocacy go to on the emir at his place.

That is coming after UNICEF chosen further three native Governments for Open Defecation Free Programme, together with; Taura, Guri and Jahun native authorities areas in Jigawa State.

Sayyad stated the Emirate council had directed all District village and ward heads, particularly within the affected native authorities, to embark on mobilisation of individuals for the success of the programme.

Earlier, the Commissioner for water sources, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Hannu Giwa appreciated the function of conventional rulers for the success of the programme in eleven native authorities areas of the State.

Chairman Taura native authorities, Baffa Yahaya, assured to supply all the required assist and logistics to all stakeholders for the success of this system.
