A thief who stole two necklaces from a gold store in Bangkok, Thailand was arrested after he unintentionally dropped his ID card whereas fleeing.
The suspect, Pathompong Sukane, 34, was arrested two hours later at his home on Soi Phattanakan 38 in Suan Luang district on Thursday, November 5.
Pathmong, a meals supply man, was charged with stealing the necklaces from Pornsuphan gold store, within the Phattanakan department of Tesco Lotus retailer.
In response to the staff, the suspect walked into the gold store and requested to see necklaces. One staffer confirmed him two gold necklaces weighing 2 baht.
He requested the fee however as the worker was calculating the value, he grabbed each necklaces and ran from the shop. He fled on a motorbike parked outdoors, evading the safety guards who tried to cease him.
The store notified Khlong Tan police. They discovered an ID card on the bottom and shortly tracked the individual named on it to his residence.
