SLU Resumption Date 2022/2023 Academic Session | Sule Lamido University Resumption Date

SLU Resumption Date 2022/2023 is out. This is to inform all fresh and returning students of Sule Lamido University, Jigawa state that the management has announced the resumption of academic activities as a result of the suspension of the ASUU strike embarked upon by all ASUU members. Students are to get ready as resumption will kick off immediately.

According to the management, both fresh and returning students for are to resume for the continuation of the previous academic session that was put on halt due to the ASUU strike by university lecturers of various higher institutions.

Due to the disagreement between ASUU and the Federal government owing to failure of the FG to sign the 2009 agreement, university lecturers under ASUU went on strike since 14th February, 2022. Due to the lackadaisical attitude from the FG and the strong will of ASUU, the strike lingered until 14th October when it was called off as a result of the intervention of the speaker of the house of representative.

The academic activities for the 2022/2023 academic session has been designed to run for a period of 4 months approximately. All academic and non-academic activities have been scheduled to take place within the 4 months period.

SLU RESUMPTION DATE FOR FRESH AND RETURNING STUDENTS

The management of SLU shall the new resumption date for fresh and returning students for continuation of the academic activities on the 31th October, 2022.

Students are advised to be law abiding and continue with their studies at their various places of abodes as school will resume as stated above.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Payment of school fees and acceptance fee plus all compulsory registrations for fresh and returning students would kick off immediately upon resumption.

If there are adjustments in SLU resumption date for 2022/2023 academic session, the management will duly inform us and I shall make changes where necessary.
