President Muhammadu Buhari has been known as upon to honour the instant previous Providers Chiefs with nationwide awards.
The Coalition of Civil Society Teams for Good Governance and Transparency requested the President to honour the previous Service Chiefs for his or her providers to the nation.
The group recommended the award of the Grand Commander of the Order of Niger, GCON for the ex-senior safety officers.
Conveners of the coalition, Dr Emmanuel Ogar and Abubakar Gana, made the decision in a press release issued on Wednesday.
The CSOs stated the previous Service Chiefs needs to be honoured for defending Nigeria in opposition to all types of criminals whereas in service.
A press release by the group reads partly: “You all conscious that President Muhammadu Buhari had on Tuesday, accepted the instant resignation of Service Chiefs and their retirement from service.
“Earlier than appointing new units of officers to take their place, President Buhari in a uncommon present of emotion, thanked the previous chiefs for what he known as their “overwhelming achievements in our efforts at bringing enduring peace to our pricey nation and wished them nicely of their future endeavours.
