Senate adjourns plenary to honour Osinowo

THE Senate on Tuesday held a minute silence in honour of the late Lagos East Senator Adebayo Sikiru Osinowo.

The lawmaker died on June 15, 2020, following a quick sickness. He was 64.

The higher chamber, which was presided over by Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege, adjourned plenary until right now in accordance with its custom.  The movement for adjournment was moved by Senate Chief Yahaya Abdullahi (APC – Kebbi North) after the adoption of the Votes and Proceedings by the Senate.

“In accordance with our custom, I hereby transfer that the Senate observe a minute silence, adjourn plenary in his honour and droop all legislative actions until Wednesday, July 1, 2020,” Abdullahi so moved.

The movement for adjournment was seconded by Minority Chief Enyinnaya Abaribe (PDP – Abia South).
