Sanwo-Olu inaugurates 7-member Judicial Panel into SARS brutality

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday inaugurated a 7-member Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution into SARS Abuses.

Members of the panel have been sworn-in on Monday on the State Home, Marina, Lagos.

The panel is to analyze circumstances of brutality and human rights violations dedicated by operatives of the dissolved Particular Anti-Theft Squad, SARS, within the State.

The panel, which is headed by retired Justice Doris Okuwobi, will sit for six months and is remitted to completely examine all verifiable claims of abuses and fatalities arising from SARS engagement within the State, with the target to deliver erring officers to justice and get compensation for the victims.
