Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker, has reacted to the current assertion by the Minister of Well being, directing federal hospitals to exchange docs with corps members.
The Well being Minister, lamenting the strike motion by resident docs directed the CMDs and MDs of all federal tertiary hospitals to exchange the docs of their hospitals with consultants and docs on the Nationwide Youth Service Corps, NYSC.
Ehanire stated the strike commenced by the docs at a time when the nation was battling the COVID-19 pandemic was ill-timed.
Reacting, Sani on his Twitter web page stated the alternative of placing docs with corps members is impracticable and absurd.
He advised the federal government to fairly meet the calls for of the docs, including that not each Nigerian can afford medical tourism overseas.
His tweet learn: “It’s absurd and impracticable for the Minister of Well being to direct public hospitals to exchange placing Medical doctors with Youth Corps members.
“The Authorities ought to concede to the calls for of the Medical doctors. Not each Nigerian can afford medical tourism to Europe or Asia.”
