Cross River State Police Command has rescued three pregnant ladies and two infants from an alleged child manufacturing facility within the state.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Abdulkadir Jimoh disclosed this to DAILY POST in Calabar on Wednesday.
He stated a staff of policemen within the state led by him rescued the victims when the staff stormed the residence of 1 Madam Ima-Obong Asuquo in Obot Udonna village in Akamkpa LGA early Wednesday morning.
The Commissioner stated the rescue operation came about at about 3.40hrs of Wednesday following a tipoff.
The commissioner stated three pregnant youngsters, Blessing Francis, 19, Blessing Okon, 19, and Blessing Solomon, 21, had been rescued throughout the operation by his males.
He confirmed that two youngsters, Shiny Solomon, two years outdated and Michael Etim, 7 years outdated had been rescued.
He stated the prime suspect has confessed to the crime, including that she had earlier offered three new infants for N1, 500,000 in connivance with one different girl merely recognized as Iquo of Technical junction Calabar.
