Two completely different elections held consecutively on Saturday and Sunday in Imo State, have produced Chidi Ibeh and George Obiozor because the President Generals of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
DAILY POST reviews that Chidi, a former commissioner in Imo State, emerged the winner of the foremost socio-cultural group held on Saturday at an undisclosed venue.
The factional President Basic was produced alongside Dimm Uche Okwukwu and Okechukwu Isiguzoro as Deputy PG and Secretary-Basic respectively.
Sources declare that Chidi Ibeh comes from former Governor Rochas Okorocha’s camp, who had earlier opposed the consensus association adopted by Senator Hope Uzodinma.
In an identical train held on Sunday on the Dan Anyiam Stadium, George Obiozor, who was purportedly chosen because the consensus candidate for the seat, polled 304 votes to return first amongst two different contestants, Valentine Oparaocha and Uju Okoro who polled 15 and three votes respectively.
Obinwali Ihunwo from Rivers state was returned unopposed because the Deputy President Basic of Ohaneze Ndigbo.
DAILY POST additional realized that whereas Obiozor’s election was carried out underneath the committee chairmanship of Gari Igariwey, that of Rochas Okorocha’s camp was officiated by Prince Richard Ozobu-led committee.
