The reelected Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, on Monday, stated the lions and tigers of the state have been caged.
Obaseki stated his victory on the Saturday’s governorship election was a sign that the tigers and the lions in Edo State politics have been completely caged.
He acknowledged this whereas addressing supporters of the Peoples Democratic Social gathering, PDP, at Kings Sq. in Benin Metropolis, the state capital.
He stated: “The message of Saturday’s governorship election is that I ought to go and work for Edo individuals as a result of Edo individuals have spoken loud and clear.

Obaseki had defeated his closest rival, Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, after polling 307,955 votes.
Ize-Iyamu, nevertheless, garnered 223,619.
