One individual has been killed and one other injured in a conflict that erupted between youths of two communities in Dutse Native Authorities space of Jigawa State.
Spokesman of the police command, SP Abdu Jinjiri confirmed the incident to DAILY POST in Dutse.
He mentioned the incident occurred on Saturday September 5, 2020 round 7:00 p.m.
Jinjiri defined that the conflict began on account of little misunderstanding over soccer match performed between villages of Kawaye and Gurungu in Dutse Native Authorities space.
He mentioned in consequence, a 30-year-old Abdulmumin Yusuf of Kawaye village was crushed and stabbed to loss of life with a horn, whereas a 40-year-old Malam Ubale of Gurungu village was severely injured.
The police spokesman mentioned officers of the safer highways patrol group rushed to the scene and the corpse was taken to normal hospital, and was confirmed lifeless, whereas the injured individual was admitted.
No arrest was made on the time of this report however efforts are in pipeline to arrest these concerned within the conflict.
Jinjiri mentioned the case was transfered to the Felony Investigation Division.
