NIN issued in Kwara before 2012, invalid – NIMC warns

The Nationwide Identification Administration Fee (NIMC) has introduced that any Nationwide Identification Card or Nationwide Identification Quantity (NIN) issued in Kwara State earlier than 2012 isn’t legitimate.

The NIMC performing Coordinator within the state, Mr Paul Popoola, who said this on the College of Ilorin, mentioned NIN registration within the early 2000s had been rendered unacceptable by the legislation that created the fee.

Popoola whereas calling on Nigerians who’re but to acquire the cardboard to take action with out additional delay defined that NIMC registration centres throughout Kwara would stay open each working day to seize residents of the state.

He recommended the College of Ilorin for offering house inside its premises to register the residents for the NIN.

“The college has been most magnanimous and visionary for giving the fee an area inside its premises to seize residents since 2014,’’ he mentioned.
