SENATE President Ahmad Lawan has mentioned he and his colleagues within the Ninth Nationwide Meeting will stay targeted to satisfy their guarantees to Nigerians.
Lawan spoke on Monday when a delegation of leaders and conventional rulers from Oke-Ogun in Oyo State visited him in his workplace in Abuja.
The delegation, led by the Aseyin of Iseyin, Dr. Abdul-Ganiy Adekunle Salau, and facilitated by Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, was attending a public listening to on a Invoice for the institution of a Federal College of Know-how in Oke-Ogun.
Spokesman for the delegation, Ahmed Raji, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), mentioned the go to was meant to thank the Senate President for supporting the Invoice.

Responding to Raji’s remarks, Lawan mentioned: “We right here within the Nationwide Meeting, particularly this Meeting, have promised Nigeria that this Ninth Nationwide Meeting will work for Nigerians, and that’s our route. That’s our trajectory.
“We’re not wanting sideways or backwards and forwards. We all know what we’re going to make Nigeria higher. In doing that, we is not going to enable ourselves to be distracted. “We consider that each a part of this nation should have a tertiary academic establishment and it is just honest that Oke-Ogun zone has one.”
Raji careworn that out of about 30 Federal establishments in Oyo State, none was cited in Oke-Ogun zone, which he mentioned has about 60 per cent of the landmass and 10 of the 33 native governments within the state. Different indigenes within the delegation included former Communications Minister Adebayo Shittu and Okere of Shaki, Oba Khalid Olabisi Oyeniyi.
