A 48-year-old man, Akeem Bello, on Monday appeared earlier than an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Courtroom for allegedly inflicting the demise of two individuals by way of reckless driving in Lagos.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Adegeshin Famuyiwa, advised the courtroom that the defendant drove a lorry with registration quantity KMC 858 XB in a reckless method and induced the demise of a bike rider and the passenger.
Famuyiwa mentioned that the defendant dedicated the offence on Jan. 12 at 11:45 p.m alongside Sagamu Highway by Sheriff Space of Odogunyan in Ikorodu, Lagos.
She mentioned the driving force drove recklessly in a freeway having no regard for different customers.
The offence, she mentioned, contravened the provisions of Sections 51, 52 and 53 of the Highway Visitors Legislation and Laws of Lagos State, 2018.
Delivering judgement, the Justice of the Peace, B.A. Sonuga admitted the defendant to bail within the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Sonuga ordered that the sureties have to be gainfully employed, dwell within the jurisdiction of the courtroom, and have their addresses verified.
The Justice of the Peace adjourned the case till Feb. 18 for listening to, NaN experiences.
