My abductors sold me to other gunmen – NIS Spokesperson, Bridget Esene narrates

Police in Anambra State have raided the house of 1 Melvina Uju Uba in Oba, Idemili South Native Authorities Space of the state, whose house was stated to have been changed into a child manufacturing facility, for the breeding and gross sales of kids.

DAILY POST gathered that 10 girls, together with 5 pregnant ladies have been amongst these arrested by the police, whereas 5 new born infants and three kids have been rescued from the house.

It was learnt that the house haboured girls who have been used to supply kids, who’re later bought out to these in want of kids at varied sums, relying on their gender.

Mr Haruna Mohammed, a Chief Superintendent of Police who can be the Public Relations officer of Anambra State Police Command disclosed the information of the arrest to journalists.

He stated, “On 26/1/2021 at about 7:am, following an intelligence report, police operatives hooked up to the SIB and Space Command, Oraifite, coordinated by the Space Commander, ACP Afolabi Wilfred, raided the home of 1 Melvina Uju Uba, ‘f’, positioned reverse Nnamdi Azikiwe Orthopedic Instructing Hospital Oba in Idemili South LGA of Anambra State.

“The place was raided following credible data that teenage women have been being impregnated and the infants bought out by human traffickers. Throughout the operation, 5 new born infants and three different kids have been rescued, whereas 10 ladies, together with pregnant ones have been arrested.

“In the meantime, the rescued kids can be handed over to the Ministry of Social Welfare, Youngsters’s and Girls’s Affairs for correct care, whereas effort is being intensified to apprehend different accomplices with a purpose to convey them to justice.”

Mohammed gave the names of the arrested ladies as follows; Edna Nnadi, aged 37 years, Ujunwa Nweke, aged 25years, Izuchukwu Uba, aged 24 years, Chinaza Ibeh, aged 19years, Peace Okon Effiong, aged 25years.

Others are; Present Collins, aged 20 years, Chimkaso Kingsley, aged 25, Happiness Monday, aged 1, Chioma Okonkwo, aged 25 and Uchechukwu Nwankwo, aged 18.
