The Police on Wednesday arraigned a 45-year-old man, Ibironke Peter, earlier than an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Courtroom, Ibadan, for allegedly defrauding a person of greater than N4.1 million.

The Prosecutor, ASP Amos Adewale, advised the court docket that Ibironke had on March 5, 2020, at Dugbe space in Ibadan, allegedly obtained the sum of N4, 187, 000 from one Afolabi Abayomi.
Adewale mentioned, “the defendant was alleged to have obtained the sum of cash underneath the pretence of changing the cash to Russian Rubbuis which he refused to do.
“Ibironke was alleged to have stolen the sum of N4,187, 000 property of 1 Mr Afolabi,” Adewale mentioned.
He mentioned the offences contravened sections 390 (9) and 419 of the Legal Code of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendant pleaded not responsible to the fees towards him.
The Chief Justice of the Peace, Mr Emmanuel Idowu, granted the defendant bail within the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum, and adjourned the matter till March 9, for listening to.
