LASAA: Sanwo-Olu suspends over 100 staff recruited ‘back-door’

Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has suspended greater than 100 workers of the Lagos State Promoting and Signage Company (LASAA).

The employees have been engaged between June 2020 and January 2021.

DAILY POST gathered that these affected have been flushed out on Monday. The state authorities instructed them to gather suspension letters from their respective departments.

The event adopted an audit performed in December 2020 after a petition to the Governor.

A supply disclosed that every one LASAA workers have been instructed to tender their information for verification.

“We introduced our credentials, appointment and promotion letters, plus different paperwork requested.

“We consider the Governor’s directive was an end result of the audit. He was stated to have acted on a proper grievance”, she added.

“How are you going to carry individuals and place them above present workers, not like they’re extra certified or have extra expertise”, one other supply fumed.

Sanwo-Olu appointed Docemo on December 9, 2019.

His appointment letter was issued by Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola.

It’s unclear if Docemo can be queried for allegedly recruiting workers with out the Governor’s consent.

LASAA Public Relations Officer, Tope Akande, didn’t take calls as at press time.
