Lagos-Ibadan Expressway: Fashola gives new directive

The Minster of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola has directed the contractor dealing with the reconstruction of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to hurry up work forward of the Yuletide.

Fashola who gave the directive whereas inspecting the freeway on Saturday, instructed the Julius Berger crew to rush building forward of the Yuletide, NAN stories.

He urged the contractors to liaise with the Federal Controllers of Works in Lagos and Ogun States in the direction of fixing necessary sections to make the street motorable, protected and freed from visitors congestion.

The minister additionally urged the agency to enhance the standard and unfold of signages and diversion indicators across the building zone and speed up work in the direction of Christmas celebration.

Fashola urged the contractors whose part spanned from Ojota in Lagos to Sagamu Interchange to make the development put on a ‘human face’ that may deal with hardship of street customers.
