The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared Saheed Obafemi as its candidate for the Kosofe Constituency 11 bye-election into Lagos State Home of Meeting.
Abubakar Masari, the consultant of APC Nationwide Working Committee, introduced Obafemi’s candidacy on Thursday.
NAN experiences that the first election was held on the primaries at Kosofe Native Authorities Secretariat.
“I, Abubakar Masari, having licensed the method by means of the election and was unopposed, and having received from the wards. Saheed Obafemi, being the one APC aspirant, has polled 34,012 votes. I hereby declare Saheed Obafemi winner and returned elected,” Masari stated.
Obafemi was APC Lagos State Assistant Secretary.
In his remarks, the candidate urged the voters to come back out en masse to vote for him.
“I’ve the capability, understanding and rudiments in fixing the challenges of Kosofe Constituency 11.”
He promised to serve the curiosity of the voters if voted into energy.
Obafemi stated he would advocate for higher well being and options to environmental challenges, amongst others.
The Kosofe 11 seat grew to become vacant after the demise of Tunde Braimoh.
