Captain Ezekiel Bala Agaba, a former government director of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Security Company (NIMASA), has been sentenced to 7 years in jail for laundering N1.5 billion.

In response to Every day Submit, Agaba was handed the jail time period by a Federal Excessive Courtroom sitting in Lagos on Wednesday.

Agaba was convicted for laundering about N1.5 billion whereas in workplace.

He was answerable for Maritime, Security and Transport, and was stated to have looted the cash from the company.

The previous Govt Director and 9 others have been arraigned earlier than the court docket in 2015.
