The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has given tertiary establishments the nod to start first and second alternative admissions for 2020/2021 from August 21.
The board mentioned the deadline for admissions can be communicated to heads of tertiary establishments at a later date to be decided by the Federal Authorities.
JAMB insisted that the admission processes have to be carried out on Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), warning establishments to not bypass the system.
The board mentioned these in its 2020 admission pointers signed by its Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, and launched on Sunday by its Head of Media and Info, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
“The primary and second selections admission train be carried out for all establishments from August 21, 2020, to a later date that will be decided by the Federal Ministry of Schooling and communicated to all of the establishments.”
“The uncertainties of the Covid-19 make it inconceivable to repair a terminal date,” the board mentioned.
JAMB defined that the rules for 2020 admission would allow contributors in admission course of to know what to do.
The board warned heads of establishments towards flouting selections of its 2020 coverage assembly, held final month, insisting that every one admissions have to be carried out in trustworthy and clear method.
