I can’t communicate on Magu, says police spokesman

Police spokesman Frank Mba, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), stated he was not competent to talk on points regarding Magu since he was neither the spokesman of the Financial and Monetary Crime Fee (EFCC), nor that of the Presidential Investigative Committee (PIC).

“I’m not competent to talk on points relating the Performing Chairman of EFCC. I’m neither the spokesman of EFCC nor an official panel,” he stated.

Nevertheless, police sources informed The Nation that it was unfaithful that the Inspector-Common (IG), Mohammed Adamu, was the one detaining Magu because the ongoing probe was being carried out by the Police.

A supply added that the police can solely act within the matter when invited to take action both via a petition or a grievance, including that it was mere hypothesis for anybody to say the IG was detaining the embattled appearing EFCC chair.

The sources stated there have been procedures to start inside disciplinary motion in opposition to any erring officer, including that Magu’s case is not going to be completely different.
