How to Create JAMB Profile Code 2023
The commencement of the 2022 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry(DE) Registration exercise will start on Saturday, 19th February to March 26
The JAMB 2023 examination will take take place from Friday 6th to Monday 16th May. The mock examination date is Saturday 9th April.
The JAMB profile code is a ten (10) digit unique number that you must have before you can register for the JAMB examination. It is this number that you will submit at the CBT centre for your registration.
Creating a JAMB profile is compulsory for every aspirant. You’d also make use of the profile login details to access your JAMB CAPS for admission acceptance.
Also, you need to get a National Identification Number (NIN) for your JAMB registration.
It is pretty easy to create your JAMB profile yourself using your phone. You do not need to go to an internet cafe to do it.

How to Get JAMB Profile Code
The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced the method of getting the JAMB profile code through SMS using the USSD code.
Here is the procedure on how to get your JAMB profile code;
- Open the text message app on your phone
- Type “NIN” then space and type your eleven (11) digit NIN number e.g NIN 23674325679
- Enter 55019 or 66019
- You wil receive your ten (10) digit JAMB profile code
- Go to a JAMB CBT centre to complete your registration
- Pay ₦4,700 to purchase the JAMB E-pin
You can also get your JAMB profile code by dialling *55019*1*NIN# or *66019*1*NIN# to get your ten (10) digits JAMB profile code.
The JAMB profile creation is fifty naira (₦50).

Retrieve JAMB Profile Code
You can retrieve your JAMB profile code using the USSD code;
- Open the text message app on your phone
- Enter 55019 or 66019 as text receiver
- Type RESEND
- Send text message
- You will receive your profile code
The JAMB profile code does not expire.
JAMB Profile Creation Problem
Here are the common problems that you may encounter while trying to create your JAMB profile code;
- NIN has been registered with another number
- Service timeout
- JAMB account creation is not available
- Unable to receive JAMB profile code using USSD
- Generation of same profile code from last year
- NIN is not verified or no record found
- NIN was already registered with the number he used last year
- No record found. Send email with NIN and Name to nimc-jamb2023@nimc.gov.ng. Then try again in 4 hours
- Unable to verify your NIN at the moment. [nimc:unknown]

Solution for JAMB Profile Code
If you registered for last year’s JAMB, you need to generate your JAMB profile code using the same mobile phone number.
You will receive the same JAMB profile code for last year.
Proceed to a JAMB CBT centre to purchase your ePin and complete your JAMB registration.

It means that you cannot use another phone number to generate your JAMB profile code.

This error message is a result of a network problem. Move to an area with a good network reception and try again in a few hours.

Type your first, second and middle name. Select your gender.

Type your phone number, nationality and state of origin
- Enter your Password
Type a password that you can never forget. Then click on Sign Up
- Proceed to Login
Your account creation is successful
- Login to your account
Enter your email address and password

You will be able to access your JAMB profile
Note: The JAMB profile code you will use for your registration at the CBT centre is in the first mail sent to you by JAMB.
