A woman has narrated how Chijioke Iloanya’s father swam in a river of useless our bodies to determine his son.
On the candle night time demonstration for fallen heroes of the #EndSARS protest, a girl recounted how Chijioka was arrested SARS.
She stated: “Chijioke was 20 years previous in 2012, he went for youngster dedication and was picked up there and was allegedly taken to SARS workplace.
“When his household went to search for him, they had been instructed he has been taken to the headquarters. Once they bought there, His mom noticed him being taken to the station and he or she stated that’s my youngster.
“The officer accountable for that station requested them besides her and the household out of the premises. Since then they haven’t seen Chijioke.
“The subsequent time they went, the officer boasted that he shot Chijioke and there’s nothing anybody can do about it. Another officers instructed the dad and mom that it’s potential ha hadn’t died that the person (officer in cost) may simply be bluffing and that they need to convey some cash to convey him.
“The daddy introduced some cash and the officer stated the cash was too small. The daddy went, bought his land, bought some properties, raised N3 million, gave it to the person and the person stated N3 million was ‘rooster change’.
“Essentially the most horrifying a part of this story, that man in cost, made Chijioke’s dad search for Chijioke’s physique within the river of useless our bodies; he made him turned each single corpse the wrong way up trying to find his son.
I can not think about what that man was going by means of. One a part of him would suppose let me discover this physique in order that we will have closure. One other a part of him would suppose let me not discover this physique in order that we will have hope.
“That is the impunity of which officers have handled us. They got here to Abuja to hunt justice. The State CID instructed them they should pay cash to move others all the way down to the state the place it occurred. We have now no system. We can not get drained…,” she narrated.
