The chairman of Udu Harbour Market, in Udu council space of Delta state, Freedom Odiete, has been shot useless by suspected assassins.
It was learnt the tragic incident which occurred Sunday was the third try by hoodlums to take his life.
Odiete, who was popularly often called Opito, was ambushed in Ekete Neighborhood by Cross-and-Cease Junction, alongside the DSC Expressway within the council space.
Witnesses stated he was driving his Pathfinder SUV when the assailants struck.
He was reportedly shot on the left hand however managed to flee.
Nonetheless, the hoodlums trailed him to the place he had taken refuge alongside close by Orhuwhorun highway and shot him repeatedly.
