Gunmen abduct three merchants, motorcyclists in Taraba

Suspected kidnappers have kidnapped three businessmen and two industrial motorcyclists alongside Dananacha-Borno-Kurukuru in Gassol native authorities space of Taraba state on Monday.

The Nation gathered that the businessmen had been being conveyed by two industrial motorcyclists from Sabongida village to Borno Kurukuru weekly market after they bumped into the gunmen who had already mounted roadblock.

A supply in Sabongida village informed our correspondent that the businessmen, who had been carrying large sums of cash, had been escorted into the bush at gunpoint with the 2 industrial motorcyclists.

As on the time of filling this report, the suspected kidnappers had been but to determine communication with households of the victims for potential ransom negotiation.

When contacted the spokesman of the Taraba police command, DSP David Misal, mentioned he was but to obtain report of the incident from the Gossol police Division.

“I’ll temporary the press as quickly as we obtain the report from Gassol or Mutum-biyu divisions,” he mentioned.
