Gunmen abduct three merchants, 2 business motorcyclists in Taraba

Suspected kidnappers in a day gentle operation kidnapped three businessmen and a pair of business motorcyclists alongside Dananacha-Borno-Kurukuru in Gassol native authorities space of Taraba state Monday.

The Nation gathered that the businessmen have been conveyed by two business motorcyclists from Sabongida village to Borno Kurukuru weekly market which is often held on Mondays when bumped into the gunmen who had already mounted roadblock.

A supply in Sabongida village informed our correspondent that the businessmen who have been carrying large sums of cash have been escorted into the Bush at gunpoint by their abductors together with the two business motorcyclists.

In keeping with the supply the three businessmen and the 2 business motorcyclists along with their bikes have been taken into the thick forest by the abductors.

As on the time of filling this report the suspected kidnappers have been but to determine communication with the households of the victims for doable negotiation for ransom.

When Contacted the spokesman of the Taraba police command, DSP David Misal stated he was but to obtain report of the incident from the Gossol police Division. “I’ll temporary the press as quickly as we obtain the report from Gassol or Mutum-biyu divisions, ” he stated.
