Former President Goodluck Jonathan has prolonged his appreciation to the Minister of Transport, Chibuike Amaechi, over the honour of renaming a rail station after him.
Talking on the Buhari administration, Jonathan stated finishing the railway programme was good, including that it reveals that the President was occurring with the legacy initiatives of the earlier administrations.
He stated this was the way in which to go.
Chatting with State Home Correspondents after a closed-door assembly with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, Jonathan stated he had written the President in appreciation for the gesture.
Buhari just lately named the most important station on the Warri-Itakpe railway route –the Agbor railway facility and station – after Jonathan.
“Let me use this chance to commend Mr. President publicly,” he stated, including that he had already despatched a letter to the President privately to thank him for the gesture.
“And finishing the railway programme is nice. It reveals that the President is doing, is happening with the legacy initiatives of the earlier administrations. That’s the approach to go.
“I despatched a letter to him. I recommended him verbally too however you’re asking me now. Let me additionally do it publicly. I respect it, I thank Mr. President, the Minister of Transportation, and others that made it attainable,” he stated.
Earlier, the previous had stated he maintains a great relationship along with his successor, President Buhari.
Requested about their present relationship, he stated: “You’ve been seeing me coming and you’ve got been seeing us having pleasant conversations.
“So, our relationship is okay.”
