Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation has slammed Bola Tinubu, a nationwide chief of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for refusing to greet the Ooni of Ife.
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, had arrived on the coronation of the Oniru of Iruland in Lagos State, on Sunday, September 6 and was strolling to the excessive desk when he stopped by to greet Tinubu.
Within the video, Tinubu was seen sitting down whereas the monarch paid respect to him.
This didn’t go down effectively with Fani-Kayode who accused the APC chief of being disrespectful to the throne.
In response to Fani-Kayode, Tibunu’s motion is a ‘crying disgrace’ to Yorubas.
On his Twitter web page, Fani-Kayode wrote: “That the Asiwaju of Bourdillon refused to face as much as greet the Ooni of Ife speaks volumes.
“This was not solely deeply insulting to each and & certainly son and daughter of Odua however it’s also a crying disgrace.
“Would a northern political chief refuse to face up for his conventional ruler?”
Some Nigerians additionally took to social media attackingTinubu for failing to accord the monarch his respect by standing as much as greet him.
Others have additionally condemned the monarch for stopping to greet Tinubu.
