End SARS: Protesters hold Juma’t prayer on expressway as CSO’s join agitations against Police brutality [Photos]

Finish SARS protesters in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State held a Jumat prayer in the course of the protest at Ola-iya, Gbogan-Osogbo expressway, Osun State.

The protesters held a two-rakats prayer on the expressway in Osogbo.

In the meantime, a cross-section of Civil Society Teams and social crusaders who joined the continuing protest towards brutality, extra-judicial killing and unhealthy governance in Nigeria have lamented the infiltration of hoodlums.

DAILY POST had reported that there was chaos among the many Finish SARS protesters on Thursday morning as suspected cultists infiltrated and disrupted proceedings.

The Civil Society Teams had earlier faulted the sample of the protests claiming it was a recipe for public disturbance.

One of many protesters; members of a civil society, Comrade Ayo Ologun who spoke with DAILY POST reiterated that some hoodlums took up the protest in Osun in the course of the week and turned it towards the resident and the federal government.

He defined that the purpose is to name for the reform of the Nigeria Police and towards the state authorities.

Ologun stated, “ whether or not sponsored or what, some hoodlums took over the protest and a few of us who’ve the comrade background name some civil society teams out to take over the protest from the arms of hoodlums.

“Myself, Comrade Waheed Lawal, Comrade Waheed Saka, Olawale Bakare and different members of the civil society group are right here with a unity of goal that we can’t keep away from leaving this protest within the arms of hoodlums.

“Although, they will be part of us. The reality is right now’s protest has been peaceable, there isn’t any report of harassment, vandalisation and there’s no assault from any aspect,” he stated.
