The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has condemned the assault on the Finish SARS protesters by hoodlums within the state on Friday.
The images and movies from a number of the protesters, which have been circulating on-line, confirmed some hoodlums armed with machetes and different harmful weapons attacking protesters marching alongside Ring Street, killing one and injuring a number of others.
Reacting, the Governor in a press release launched on Friday night, ordered the state Police Command to offer enough safety for the protesters as they train their rights as involved Nigerians.
