EFCC: Magu clears air on N4bn allegedly given to Osinbajo

Suspended appearing Chairman of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu, has denied giving N4 billion to Vice President, Yemi Osinabjo.

He mentioned this when he appeared earlier than the presidential panel investigating him on Thursday.

Magu has spent the fourth day on the Drive Prison Investigation Division (FCID).

A supply disclosed to The Nation what Magu mentioned when he was grilled about Osinbajo.

Magu was quoted as saying: “I didn’t inform the panel that I gave the Vice President N4 billion”

He quipped: “The place will I get such cash? Do I’ve entry to such funds? It’s a part of mudslinging. Please clear this. I do not need any management of such money, I didn’t order the switch of N4 billion to the VP or to anyone.”

Magu insisted that Osinbajo’s title “by no means got here up on the panel’s session in any respect. Because the VP was not a problem, I couldn’t have talked about that I gave him N4 billion”.

In the meantime, the VP has requested the Inspector-Normal of Police to research the allegation in opposition to him.

His demand was contained in a July 9 petition signed by his attorneys, Taiwo Osipitan and Abimbola Kayode.
