EFCC arrests 22 suspected cyber fraudsters in Imo

Operatives of the Uyo Zonal workplace of the Financial and Monetary Crimes, EFCC, have trailed and arrested about 22 suspected web criminals in several areas in Imo State.

In a press release signed by EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, and made accessible to DAILY POST correspondent in Uyo on Thursday, he stated the Fee was capable of nab the suspects by means of intelligence.

Oyewale acknowledged that the suspects who’re all males had been arrested on Monday, September 8, 2020, in a raid that lasted as much as three hours.

“Others are; Chidi Kalu, Uparai Daniel, Ubochi Christian Ikechukwu, Udoka Obi, Chiagozie Morris Obiano, Moses Akaedite, Henry Princewill Chisom, Prince Ibe, Ugwuegbu Fredrick Ekenna, William Peter Obinna and Udoka Ihiekwe Kelechi.”

He added that on the time of their arrest, a number of automobiles and devices had been recovered from them and which included, “A black Lexus E5 330 with registration quantity NWA 866 AW; A silver colored Toyota Corolla LE with registration quantity, FST 520 GJ; A silver colored Toyota Camry with registration quantity, KRD 687 GF; and a blue Toyota Corolla LE with registration quantity, RSH 889 TD.
