The Division of State Providers (DSS) has invited 10 leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State for an ‘essential assembly’.
In accordance with a letter from the safety company, the politicians are to attend the assembly scheduled to carry on Saturday on the DSS Command Headquarters in Benin Metropolis, the state capital.
A duplicate of the letter, dated August 20, 2020, and addressed to at least one Tony Adun who’s also referred to as Kabakaba, was obtained by Channels Tv on Friday.
Whereas the DSS didn’t disclose the agenda of the assembly, it’s suspected to be in connection to the forthcoming governorship election in Edo.
“I’m directed to ask you (Adun) to an essential assembly with the State Director of Safety,” a part of the letter learn.
Adun was requested to attend the assembly with the Nationwide Chairman of Street Transport Employers Affiliation of Nigeria (RTEAN), and eight different leaders of the APC within the state.
They embrace Ehis Adams – APC Chief in Oredo, Osaro Idahosa – APC Chief in Ikpoba-Okha, and Okunbor Roberts – APC Chief in Ovia South-West LGA.
Others are ‘Atarodo’ – APC member, Kingsley Amedo – APC member, Richard Obe – APC member, Osarobo Idehen – APC member, and Dr Emma – APC member.
The Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) had fastened September 19 to conduct the election in Edo State.
