A cellular court docket on Wednesday sealed up the New Yorker Night time Membership and Lounge in Maitama District of Abuja for allegedly working inside curfew hours in contravention of the COVID-19 regulation, 2020.
The court docket sitting on the Eagles Sq. presided over by a Justice of the Peace, Idayat Akanni, additionally ordered the seal up of Agape Night time Membership and Lounge, Wuse II, for one week.
It convicted 4 defaulters, together with two Lebanese – Wassim Soofau and Fawaz Ali – operators of New Yorker Night time Membership; Adeniran Matthew and Julius Inanemoh, the employees of Agape Night time Membership, respectively.
The defaulters have been apprehended by the FCT COVID-19 enforcement workforce for partaking in social actions throughout the curfew hours, which is from 10pm to 6am.
