Condemnable and totally unacceptable” – Katsina Police react to reported killing of Fulani men by banned vigilante group

A banned vigilante group in Katsina State, often known as Yan Sakai, reportedly killed some Fulani males suspected to be bandits in Kurfi Native Authorities Space of the state.

Spokesman of the state police command, Isah Gambo, who confirmed the report on Wednesday, October 14, mentioned eight Fulani males had been slaughtered by Yan Sakai.

He described the incident as “condemnable and completely unacceptable”.

“We’re investigating the matter with a view to bringing the perpetrators to ebook. No sane society will condone this sort of act and that was why the Katsina State Authorities banned the actions of Yan Sakai within the state,” he added
