The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on crisis-ridden Orlu LGA and neighbouring communities together with Nkwerre, Ideato-south, Ideati-north, Njaba and Isu.
The Governor, who took aback on the rising degree of killings within the areas, has instantly deployed navy males to arrest the scenario.
In response to the Senior Particular Assistant to the Governor on Print Media, Modestus Nwamkpa, “the Governor has deployed safety businesses for a 24-hour patrol to regulate the scenario.
“He has, subsequently, warned that any particular person or group of people caught fueling disaster can be arrested by the navy.
“So, residents in these areas are suggested to obey the nightfall to daybreak curfew as imposed by the state Governor or have themselves responsible if caught. This means residents aren’t anticipated to stroll round 6pm to 6am.”
DAILY POST learnt that the foundation reason behind the disaster was on account of a faceoff between a gaggle, Japanese Safety Community (ESN) and the navy which led to a number of lack of lives.
