BREAKING: Gunmen shoot soldier dead, cart away rifle in Delta

There may be palpable stress in Oto neighborhood in Sapele, Sapele Native Authorities Space of Delta State as gunmen shot a soldier useless and carted away their rifles, DAILY POST can report.

It was learnt that the gunmen stormed the realm in a velocity boat by means of the Oton river and opened fireplace on the troopers at their checkpoint close to the river.

When contacted for feedback, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the report in a phone chat with DAILY POST

She mentioned,”Sure! It’s true. His rifle was carted away.”

Our correspondent who monitored the incident stories that some indigenes and residents are already fleeing their houses for concern that the army may deploy troopers to the neighborhood for a reprisal assault.
