BREAKING: EFCC speaks on Magu’s ‘arrest’

The Performing Chairman of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, was “not arrested” on Monday.

In accordance with the EFCC, he solely honoured an invite by a Presidential Panel reviewing the actions of the company.

The Head of Media, Dele Oyewale, stated this in a press release on Monday.

He stated the assessment was held on the Banquet Corridor wing of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Oyewale defined that Magu “was served the invitation to the Panel, whereas on his approach to the Power Headquarters, Abuja, for a gathering.”

He insisted that the EFCC boss “was neither arrested nor pressured to honour the invitation”.

The spokesman disclosed {that a} member of EFCC authorized group was additionally with Magu as he confronted the panel.

Magu was picked up by the Division of State Providers (DSS) in Wuse and brought to the Villa.
