Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, has mentioned some Boko Haram members are Christians, Muslims, white males and Asians.
Zulum spoke through the seventeenth Chief Gani Fawehinmi Annual Lecture organised by the Nigerian Bar Affiliation in Ikeja, Lagos State, over the weekend.
The governor mentioned Nigerians ought to see insurgency as a basic problem and never only a Northeast drawback alone.
Zulum mentioned terrorism and banditry are as a result of excessive fee of unemployment, poverty, drug abuse and nepotism.
Zulum mentioned: “I’m from Borno State and plenty of of our youngsters are in Boko Haram.
“I’m not denying the actual fact. However once more, they’re being sponsored by many individuals internationally.
“Amongst Boko Haram, we’ve got white males, Asians, Africans, Muslims and Christians.
“We should cease seeing this insurgency as an issue of the North.”
