Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, has mentioned some Boko Haram members are Christians, Muslims, white males and Asians.
Zulum spoke throughout the seventeenth Chief Gani Fawehinmi Annual Lecture organised by the Nigerian Bar Affiliation in Ikeja, Lagos State, over the weekend.
The governor mentioned Nigerians ought to see insurgency as a basic problem and never only a Northeast drawback alone.
Zulum mentioned terrorism and banditry are as a result of excessive fee of unemployment, poverty, drug abuse and nepotism.
Zulum mentioned: “I’m from Borno State and plenty of of our kids are in Boko Haram.
“I’m not denying the actual fact. However once more, they’re being sponsored by many individuals the world over.
“Amongst Boko Haram, we’ve white males, Asians, Africans, Muslims and Christians.
“We should cease seeing this insurgency as an issue of the North.”
