Abuja attack: Police arrests proscribed religious movement protesters

The Police Command within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has arrested 5 members of a “proscribed spiritual motion” for Monday’s violent protest in Abuja.

The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mariam Yusuf, made the announcement in an announcement.

Yisuf confirmed that the command restored calm within the Central Enterprise District after dispersing the protesters.

The spokesman mentioned they destroyed public property and attacked residents, together with cops with stones and different harmful objects.

The suspects could be charged to courtroom after investigation.

Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, has warned that any assault on residents, operatives and public property wouldn’t be condoned.
