Six individuals have died following a highway crash in Adamawa State.
It was gathered on Monday that the accident concerned a Toyota Starlet cab and a Toyota Corolla automotive, Sunday afternoon, alongside the Yola-Mubi Street.
Sources stated it occurred on a bit of the busy freeway between the college city of Girei and neigbouring Jabbi-Lamba.
These communities lie north of the State capital, Yola.
The Girei Unit Commander of the Federal Street Security Corps (FRSC), Kabir Bello, stated the accident was attributable to over dashing at a bend few meters to Jabbi-Lamba village.
Based on him, all of the 5 occupants of the Toyota starlet automotive died on the spot.
He stated one individual within the Corolla automotive equally died whereas the motive force sustained critical damage.
He stated the accident occurred when the Starlet automotive, with younger Mubi residents returning residence after a enterprise journey to the South East of Nigeria, veered off its path and rammed into the Corrola automotive.
In Adamawa State, Corolla Starlet vehicles are used extensively as inter-city trasnport automobiles, often overloaded with 4 passengers on the again seat and two with the motive force on the entrance seat.
